Psalm 85:12 (KJV)
Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.
The Psalmist conveys profound confidence in God’s forgiveness and restoration, instilling hope in future blessings that follow sincere repentance. It is undeniable that God’s essence is fundamentally good and immeasurably powerful. When we seek and trust in Him, we tap into His abundant goodness. The imagery of the earth yielding its increase powerfully reinforces the belief that God is the ultimate Source of all provision.
In challenging times, reflecting on God’s past acts of mercy and restoration reveals a relationship grounded in forgiveness and grace. These moments can be opportunities for growth as we trust in God’s faithfulness to bring about all that is good. God is inherently good, and His perfect goodness works continuously for our benefit. His blessings and honor are not earned through our own efforts but are a manifestation of His grace and love. By trusting in God’s goodness and sovereignty, we open ourselves to receive blessings that flow from love and compassion. As James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” God is the Source of all good things—steadfast and unchanging. As children of God, when we fully trust in Him and actively seek His goodness, we can be assured of reaping a bountiful harvest. Just as a farmer patiently awaits the fruits of his labor, our unwavering faith and diligent efforts will yield abundant blessings in due time. We experience His goodness by contemplating His holiness and infinite righteousness. God is not a distant figure but an ever-present force offering us the chance to experience His goodness.
Beloved, God is good and will not withhold any good thing from you. Rest assured that the Lord will provide all that is beneficial, and your land will yield its increase. If you find yourself anxious about making ends meet, paying bills, or providing for your children, have faith that the Lord is your Provider. He will supply you with everything necessary in miraculous ways. Focus solely on Him, knowing His ways are higher than yours, and He is working far greater things in your life for His glory than you can envision. God’s commitment to your well-being and His constant presence is unwavering. His promises are reliable, and if He has assured you that you will overcome your current challenges, trust that you will. Have confidence in God’s steadfast nature. Whatever challenge you face, believe that He is in the process of producing good, and your faith-filled efforts will yield a harvest beyond comprehension. Trust in His benevolence and compassion towards you, for He is orchestrating everything for your benefit, even amid difficulties. As the Source of every good and perfect gift, respond with humility, appreciation, and generosity, knowing God’s abundance will never deplete. Hold fast to His promises, for He is a generous provider who delights in blessing His children abundantly. Remember, the goodness of God is for those who act with integrity and obey His commands.
