Praise Him With Your Whole Heart

Psalm 138:1(KJV)

I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.

Praise is one of the easiest ways to access the blessings of God. It is the platform through which God intervenes in the affairs of our lives and perfects all that concerns us. Praise to God is an indication of absolute trust in Him. And as we praise Him, we show the extent of our faithfulness and trust in Him even while going through a challenge. The power of our praise determines the magnitude of our breakthrough. That is, those who understand the language of praise never struggle to be blessed. When we do for God what He cannot do for Himself (that is, praising Himself), He will do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. Whenever we come together to offer praises to the Almighty God, His Throne is set wherever His people praise Him to give them the supernatural.

God is a great King above all gods, and nothing can qualify or quantify the magnitude of His greatness. No seat or throne can contest with the majesty of God in His Domain lies strength and beauty. Psalm 138 reminds us of the need to hold on to gratitude for all the big and small that God does for us. At a time when many served foreign gods, David proclaims his faith in God by praising and thanking Him publicly. It is important to know that God is not moved by emotions or tears. Rather He is moved by the correct application of the principles contained in His Word. It is written in Psalm 22:3 “But You are holy, O You who are enthroned in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered].” God delights in His children who constantly render holy praises to Him. As beneficiaries of His mercy and grace, we are to praise Him with our whole heart: before the gods. For, He has promised His power, protection, deliverance, joy, light, and revelation in obscure situations when we sing praises to Him.

Beloved, your life-long goal, and pursuit should be to render continuous praise and service to the supreme King out of a pure heart. Praising God moves Him, and He shows up in the life of those who praise and thank Him for His Goodness. No matter the situation of your life, you have something to thank God. If what you have now is a single room, thank God for it, and it will soon become a two-bedroom apartment, and as you thank God for that, it will become a big house. When you appreciate God for what He has done so far in your life, He will perfect that which concerns you. When you thank and praise God for what He has done in your life, you will see more of His Hand. I see a change of level in your life as you praise God in Jesus’ Name.

O LORD, thank You for Your wondrous works in my life, forever I give You praise in Jesus’ Name.
