Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Afflictions touch every human being, not just Christians. In their search for solutions to these challenges, many find themselves drawn to places or actions that lead to greater troubles. However, while the righteous may face countless pains, the promise remains that the Lord delivers them from all of it. Regardless of the struggles we encounter, holding onto righteousness and faith paves the way for deliverance and divine protection. This message inspires perseverance and trust, reminding us that hardship is an integral part of a righteous life, but God’s rescue is unwavering. Our afflictions may be diverse and heavy, yet God’s mercies are boundless, His wisdom profound, and His power extraordinary. Through every trial, God will guide His redeemed to emerge unscathed and victorious, for His deliverance is unfailing, intentional, and complete. Psalm 91: 9-11 says, “Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
As Christians, we sometimes need afflictions in our lives to shape us, for perseverance is the badge of the righteous. If God allowed us to live without obstacles, it would weaken us. He confronts the reality of suffering but promises deliverance through it rather than escape. The righteous may face many troubles, yet none are final, and all serve a purpose. There is no victory without a battle, and every battle has a cause. God allows us to experience these afflictions to glorify Himself in our lives, for His deliverance may not always be instantaneous. Often, He delivers us through the fire rather than from it. Afflictions are not meant to break us but to provide breakthroughs. When we overcome, our faith strengthens, and our spiritual stamina grows. Athletes endure pain for success; after the pain comes the gain. We must pass through the wilderness to reach Canaan. No matter how many times we circle our afflictions, we must keep walking in obedience and taking steps of faith because our day of shouting is coming. The walls of pain, struggles, hardships, and sickness will come down, for God is with us through each hill, injury, and setback. He adjusts our plans, encourages us, and uses our struggles to build endurance, faith, and dependence on Him. While our hearts may be broken, God hears every prayer and captures each tear. Weeping endures for the night, but joy comes in the morning. Regardless of our afflictions, God’s Word promises deliverance. He keeps His promises from generation to generation and will not fail or neglect us.
Beloved, call upon the Lord in your time of trouble, for He will answer and deliver you. I may not know your struggles or the afflictions weighing you down, but I assure you that as a child of God, you will be delivered from them all. The Lord is freeing His own and removing their infirmities. Do not be swayed by the trials or pleasures of this world; God’s version is far superior. He sees the bigger picture, holds your today and tomorrow in His hand, and guides you towards truth. Thus, your afflictions will come to an end. These trials are temporary and will not harm you. Your joy is on the horizon. Approach hardships with purpose and determination, as challenges can shape you into a stronger and more compassionate person. While you patiently await God’s intervention, immerse yourself in His Word and maintain your fellowship with Him. Live a holy life. Dedicate your time, talent, and abilities to advancing the Gospel and contributing to the Kingdom’s growth. Take comfort in the promise that the Lord is always watchful and ready to deliver you from all troubles, allowing you to emerge stronger and more resilient. Hold onto your faith, stay true to your beliefs, and trust in the divine plan that ensures protection and deliverance for the righteous. Stand firm on God’s promises; they will be fulfilled in your life. During affliction or pain, cultivate a strong faith, as it empowers you to see beyond your current struggles. As you maintain your faith and trust in the Lord for supernatural intervention, He will rise on your behalf and scatter the pain for your good. Remember the stories of Abraham, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and Mary and Martha; they all faced afflictions, yet the Lord delivered them.
O LORD, I receive the grace to live a righteous life. Today, strengthen my heart and deliver me from every form of affliction in Jesus’ Name.
