The Only Wise God

Romans 16:27 (KJV)

To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Apostle Paul concludes His entire letter to the Romans by giving glory to the only wise God through Jesus Christ. One of the most significant attributes of God is wisdom. God’s wisdom is infinite and incomprehensible to humans. It has no limits, and no one can match it. The wisdom of God is so profound that His judgments are unfathomable, and His ways are mysterious. No one has ever been or could ever be His counselor. God’s wisdom is so vast that He cannot and does not increase in wisdom. The depth of God’s wisdom is beyond measure and is unsearchable. Moreover, God uses the world’s foolish things to put the wise to shame. According to 1 Corinthians 1:25, even God’s foolishness is wiser than man’s wisdom, and His weakness is stronger than man’s strength. God is all-knowing, His ways are unsearchable, and His thoughts are deeper than the deepest ocean. Romans 11:33 says, “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!”

One of the remarkable aspects of Christian theology is the concept of salvation. According to this belief system, Jesus Christ came to Earth to pay the price for humanity’s sins. Even though the devil may have thought that Jesus’ death would be a shameful defeat, it was actually part of God’s plan to save the world. This act of sacrifice and redemption is seen as a demonstration of God’s infinite wisdom and love for humanity. 1 Corinthians 2:8 says, “Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” The silence of God during Jesus’ crucifixion may have appeared foolish to some, but it was, in fact, an act of wisdom. God had formulated His plan of salvation for humanity before the beginning of time, and its wisdom remained hidden in His mind until He revealed it through His servants. The plan involved redeeming humanity by sending His only Son to the Earth, a hidden wisdom that was not understood by the devil and his agents who crucified Jesus, who was the Lord of Glory. The infinitely wise method of salvation through Jesus’ death is grounded in an infinitely wise method of choosing sinners before the cross and calling them after the cross. After the death of Jesus and the rise of the Apostles, who spread the Gospel worldwide, Satan realized that he had been following the script of the Omniscient God.

Beloved, there is no doubt that the wisdom of God stands supreme among all forms of wisdom. God’s infinite wisdom is a testament to His greatness and glory, which will endure forever. His omniscience enables Him to see and understand everything, and His wisdom can transform even the most foolish among us. God’s wisdom sustains us in times of hardship, and it is the force that holds everything together in the universe. Understanding and seeking God’s wisdom is the key to unlocking its profound benefits and leading a fulfilling life. Every trial, persecution, hindrance, limitation, wickedness, evil, sickness, and lack can be a stepping stone to the glorious and expected end God has prepared for your life. So, never devalue any event in your life, for they are all for good. As the devil is scheming, God tampers with his plans. By the time his plans materialize, instead of working against you as designed, the devil will see them working for your good and in your favor. This is why I know that though the devil may be laughing at you now, he does not know that God only allowed him to win the battle so that he would lose the war over your life. You will laugh last in the mighty name of Jesus. Today, don’t accept the devil’s alternatives or subscribe to the suggestions of men. Remember, God knows the most significant goal and the perfect way to achieve it in every situation.

O Lord, thank You for Your Word. I ask to walk in Your Wisdom in Jesus’ Precious Name.
