Touch Not Mine Anointed!

1 Chronicles 16:21-22(KJV)
He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
It has been confirmed that the Anointing of the Holy Spirit is a preserver of life and destiny. The Anointing stands as an instrument of signs and wonders that attracts favor and sets one apart as untouchable. Although the anointing in the life of the anointed can have a positive impact on people’s lives, it can also destroy those who abuse the anointed or treat him or her spitefully. Speaking against the men and women of God is a typical way of touching the Lord’s anointed. It will not go well with you and nothing will work for you. It is written in Psalm 28:8 “The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.”
In the spirit and physical realms, the anointed are termed ‘UNTOUCHABLE.’ These ones have a wall of fire around them that make them too hot to be touched. They are most dangerous when confronted on earth. They may look small or gentle but if the Anointing is on their head, they become untouchable. Every anointed personality is an untouchable entity, it is only those who are on a suicide mission that would dare someone who carries the Anointing on his or her head. When Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses, the anger of the LORD was kindled against them and Miriam became leprous! When Korah and over 250 others spoke against Moses and Aaron (Num. 16:2-3), God allowed the earth to swallow Korah and the others up. When king Ahaziah wanted to touch Elijah, his actions ended in tragedy, not only for him but also for the soldiers he sent to arrest the anointed of God(2 Kings 1:1-15). Remember what happened to the 42 youth from Bethel who maliciously mocked Elisha, one of God’s anointed. God sent two she bears to tear them into pieces as a judgment for their mockery(2 Kings 2:23-24). Judas who turned against Jesus, became so miserable and hang himself(Mat. 27:5). Today, there are many that have not the fear or respect to restrain themselves from talking against or doing ill against the anointed of God but they will not be guiltless. God may not send she bears, but again, there are consequences for touching the anointed. Anyone who touches the anointed will definitely pay dearly for it. Make no mistake about that!
Beloved, watch your tongue and stop any action that is destructive to the assignment given to an anointed man or woman of God. The Bible is very clear in Matthew 12:36 “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” If you are fond of ridiculing the anointed of God, be careful, so that you don’t experience the adverse effects of the anointing. As a church going Christian don’t be in a hurry to malign a true man of God. If for any reason you have touched the anointed, repent and ask God for forgiveness. Remember, ‘touch not’ principle applies to both the believers that are in the church and the unbelievers outside the fold of the church.
O Lord, forgive me in any way I have touched Your anointed with my words, actions and inaction in Jesus’ Name.
