Joshua 3:13 (KJV)
And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap.
In the above Scripture, we witness God guiding Joshua on how to part the river Jordan for the children of Israel, allowing them to walk through on dry ground. He instructed the priests to step into the flowing river, and as they did, the waters receded, allowing the people to cross safely. This powerful act showcases God’s awe-inspiring ability to intervene and protect His people in miraculous ways. It required immense faith, as the river was still rushing, and nothing extraordinary seemed to occur at first. The priests could have waited for a clear sign before acting; instead, they chose to step forward in faith. This bold obedience opened the door to God’s power, creating a pathway for His people. Psalm 114:3 beautifully illustrates this, stating, “The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.” God is always by our side, ready to part the waters and guide us to safety, even amidst turbulent circumstances. His power can disrupt the natural order, revealing His divine authority over all of creation. Often, we find ourselves facing overwhelming obstacles, feeling hopeless in our pursuit of God’s promises. Stagnation can set in as we feel trapped on the wrong side of our dreams and the abundance the Scriptures describe. However, it’s crucial to remember that God has the power to turn seemingly impossible situations into transformative opportunities. Each of us encounters our own ‘Jordan’, challenges that appear insurmountable. But like the Israelites, we are called to move forward in faith.
Achieving success in life requires both devotion to the Lord and a bold step of faith to cross any river. With the right intentions and mindset, progress is possible through action. Embracing the necessary challenges and taking decisive steps is essential for succeeding in God’s work and in life. To reach our Promised Land, we must practice courageous obedience, even amidst uncertainty about God’s plan. True faith resides in the heart, not the mind. Mistakes and failures can lead to closed doors, but our limited vision does not define God’s limitless power. He can accomplish what seems impossible. Keep moving forward for new opportunities always await.
Beloved, to reach the place God has in store for you, it’s essential to keep moving, taking steps, and embracing change. Never let past mistakes or failures derail your journey, for setbacks are merely stepping stones toward your potential. Resolve to follow Divine Direction and make the right decisions promptly. Conquer indecision and propel yourself forward through sound choices. Your decisions shape your destiny. Keep pressing on. With God by your side, you can face life’s challenges with courage and faith, crossing your Jordan River on dry ground. Step out in faith by obeying God’s commands, even when they appear daunting. Trust that God will move mountains and perform wonders in your life and the lives of others as you lean on His guidance. Like the priests at the Jordan, you may be standing before something that looks impossible. But God doesn’t ask you to part the waters, only to step into them. Your obedience invites His power. Your movement activates His miracle. And when your feet touch the water, you’ll discover that God was already preparing the way. Have faith in your journey and trust in the promise of a brighter future. Know that God won’t let you sink in your current situation; He has a plan for you to achieve extraordinary things. Overcome your fears, and success will follow. Take a step of faith, step into the unknown, and move towards the blessings and victories He has in store for you! Remember, progress is made by consistently taking steps forward; the key to reaching your destination is in the journey of those steps.
