God Is Faithful To His Word

1 Corinthians 1:9(KJV)

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

It is evident that our God is Faithful in all things; He is dependable and reliable. Circumstances and life issues may prove otherwise; however, the fact remains that our God is Faithful. He is faithful and righteous to fulfill all His promises to those called, chosen, and all who trust His Word. His covenant of faithfulness is the sure foundation on which all our faith securely rests. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 says, “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” The plea to hold onto the hope is the faithfulness of God promising salvation and the return of His Son, Jesus Christ. God will not fail to accomplish His promises, including our eternal life in Christ. It is God’s promise that gives us our sure hope. He is faithful and true and always keeps his Word as a perfect Father. God’s Word is unquestionable. It is always right, holy, and trustworthy; His Word is more than enough. His covenant of faithfulness is the sure foundation on which all our faith securely rests.

We are the called, the chosen, the elect of God, and enriched by God’s grace simply because we believe His Word and have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation. We are set apart unto God and called into fellowship with His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through faith in Him, we have become the children of God and joint heirs with our Lord Jesus Christ in glory. Fellowship with Christ is the work of the Holy Spirit, and He makes the person of Jesus realistic in our daily experience. 1 Corinthians 1:30 says, “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.”  We are in Christ, and God sees us as perfect through His Son. When God looks at us, He sees the perfection of Christ, the wisdom of Christ, and the righteousness of Christ, for we are one with Him. Christ became our wisdom, uprightness, sanctification, and redemption. So, if God was faithful to Jesus Christ on earth, then we who are called into fellowship with Jesus Christ can’t be failed by God, for He is too faithful. In other words, at the heart of following Jesus is the recognition that God in Christ is Faithful.

Beloved, the Lord is faithful, and He has called us into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ. As you grow to lean totally on the character of God, an extraordinary transformation of your own nature takes place. He promises not to forsake or leave you. Wherever you find yourself, do something useful for God, He will not forget your efforts. Don’t let the delay discourage you. Put patience to work, for the Word of God guarantees your reward. Do not shy away from God’s calling, for He will move you from survival to success. You’ve got to be determined, strong, persevere, and hold fast to the profession of your faith! He is faithful and will make all provisions for your calling. God is not a man that will lie. He is the Doer of all things. Today, embrace God’s promises. Call on Him, for He who promised you is faithful. Hold onto what God says, and know that God will always come through for you on His promises. He will never let you down or leave you. Be confident that you will see the goodness of God in your life, for He alone can establish you. Remember, God is God, and He moves in and through you, and that God is faithful even when you are not.

O Lord, teach and reveal to me Your Faithfulness. Help me by Your Holy Spirit to be faithful in all things in Jesus’ Name.
