God Is Good

1 Chronicles 16:34(KJV)

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever.

The Lord has been so good to us. He has been merciful and never ceased to be faithful and kind. The love of God endures forever! He is our Great Provider. He remains our Rock and source of strength in every situation. As children of God, we walk with our shoulders high because He is our Defense and Deliverer. If it had not been for the Lord on our side, the devil would have destroyed us. We are who we are in Christ because of the goodness and mercy of God. For His greatness, goodness, kindness, and wondrous works to us, we must always thank Him. It is written in Psalm 7:17 that “I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.” For these reasons and many more, we need to make thanksgiving our lifestyle. The wonder of the Creator should drive all believers to bow down in adoration and realize that as sheep, we are under a loving Shepherd’s care. Therefore, if we wait for what God will do before we can be thankful to Him, we wait too long.

Thanksgiving is an indispensable activity for every child of God. It focuses on who God is and what He means to us. Thanksgiving is the readiness to show appreciation in return for kindness received. It is the door that ushers us into God’s blessings. There are blessings reserved for those who are thankful to the Lord. Thanksgiving provokes greatness and enlargement, the key to staying full of God. Anywhere thanksgiving is seen, greatness automatically manifests. The truth is, it is not possible to be genuinely thankful to God and end up small in life. The garment of praise and thanksgiving is a cure for littleness in life. Those who come before God with thanksgiving can never live by the mercy of men. As we remain thankful, God will always launch us to the realm of unimaginable favor. We will always win the battles of life as long as there are no impediments to our worship of God.

Beloved, your thanksgiving will only be acceptable to God if it comes from a heart of worship. For you to worship God in truth, you must live a holy life. Be able to lift your clean hands and have a pure conscience devoid of offense to your Maker at all times Be honest and upright and reflect the nature of God in your dealings. Keep your heart pure so that your joy can be overflowing. Today, thank Him for who He is—Good, Merciful, and Loving. Choose to see the good things in your life and be thankful for them. Declare the goodness and glory of the Lord, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Child of God, a thousand voices are still not sufficient to appreciate the goodness of God. I implore you to be thankful always because this God is worthy of all our praise and adoration. As you praise and thank Him, trust that out of His very nature, He will hear and respond to you with grace upon grace from the Throne of Grace. Know that God’s love for you remains steadfast, a reality that provides a sure foundation for your life.

O LORD, thank You for all things, thank You for being there for me. Today I offer thanks to You be all the Glory in Jesus’ Name.
