2 Samuel 22:2-3(KJV)
And he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
The experience of David concerning Divine Protection is worthy of study. From the above Scripture, David acknowledged God as his Rock, Fortress and Deliverer when the Lord delivered him from all his enemies and from the hands of Saul. It is a fact that we live in an increasingly wicked and dangerous world. But the good news is that no matter how dangerous the world and people get, God would always deliver His people in dangerous times because we serve a God who is eternally committed to the preservation of His children. Psalm 62:1-2 says “In God alone my soul finds rest; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.” Our God is indeed Jehovah-Nissi!
As Christians, the tears will still come, the pressures will be felt, and so will the temptations, but in the midst of all circumstances God’s Grace, Peace, and Joy are there for us. Whatever we see in the physical appearance, whatever we hear from or about our opponent must not be allowed to make us doubt the power of our mighty God or to shake our faith in Him. Like David, when we are confronted by our enemies, a situation or a challenge that seems to be bigger than us, we should quickly realize and confess that we have the One who has never lost a battle on our side, He is the Lord of Hosts! As Christians our declaration should be, “on Christ the solid Rock I stand” and God will make us to be more than conquerors. Remember, problems help us fortify our wall of defense, so let those problems become wings that will take us to our place of greatness.
Beloved, it does not matter what you have faced or are facing right now, you shall end well. Instead of making your circumstances the focus, make God your focus and stand strong and secure in Him! Meditate on God and His Word, and fellowship with Him until the revelation of who He is in you starts to thrill your soul. Cultivate the habit of singing praises to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords daily. Make demands always on the preservation power of God at the Throne Room of Grace. Psalm 125:1 says “They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.” Today, put your trust in the Lord, for your protection is guaranteed. Remain in Him and He will help you in your fight against principalities, powers and spiritual forces of wickedness. He will not allow you to be defeated in battle because He will defend, protect, deliver you and subdue your enemies, you are safe in His Hands for our God never fails! God will always be your God, Rock, Fortress, Deliverer, Strength, Shield, Salvation, and High Tower if you allow Him and put your trust in Him. He will save you from all your enemies. You will live to see the end of all enemies including household enemies who have connived to hand you over to external enemies in Jesus’ Name.
O Lord, thank You for being my Rock, Fortress, Deliverer, Strength, Shield, Salvation, and my High Tower, I ask for Your preservation power on my life in Jesus’ Name.
