The Lord Settle You

Exodus 3:7-8(ESV)

Then the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

Divine settlement according to our anchored Scripture, is to get compensated by God. It is a process of experiencing deliverance from our challenges, struggles, or pains. Divine Settlement also means we have been owed and need to be compensated. After many years of oppression and slavery, the Israelites were freed and settled into their promised land. The moment the Almighty God got involved in the affliction of the children of Israel, things began to work out for their good, by God raising a deliverer for them. In settling the Israelites, God took their negative situation and placed them in a land flowing with milk and honey. A divine settlement from God gives us freedom from captivity and strongholds of the enemies. That is when God settles His children, they enjoy freedom from satanic oppression and torment. When God gets involved in our situation, He wipes away tears from our eyes. When God decides to be involved in the affairs of man, every obstacle becomes surmounted, the forces of Heaven begin to turn our difficulty into miracles, trials to triumph, and test to testimonies. Everything becomes possible to us, and our challenges become history.

Throughout the Bible, there are various instances where God settles His children. In Genesis 21:1-2, against all odds and biological reasoning, Sarah was divinely settled with the fruit of the womb. She bore Abraham a son even in old age. Hannah and Elizabeth had their cases of barrenness also settled in one day. After enduring many hardships in Egypt, Joseph was divinely settled with a place of power, glory, and rest. He became the first Prime Minister of Egypt. In Job 42:10-16, God restored to Job everything that the enemy stole from him after many years of tragedy and misfortune in his life. The place of dignity taken away from Mephibosheth was restored within a day by David with a simple pronouncement(2 Samuel 9:10). When settled, all our rights and privileges denied or taken away from us are returned and restored. It is written in Luke 5:5-6 “But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless, at Your word, I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.” Simon Peter was divinely settled after a night of toiling and catching nothing. In this season of settlement, God will divinely settle us in Jesus’ Name. He will compensate us for lost glory. He will comfort and restore us to a place of peace and rest. Get ready to see all our problems get settled!

Beloved, do not be in a hurry to engage in human settlement when God has a genuine settlement for you. Any attempt to settle yourself in whatever form without God’s involvement could have dire consequences for you. There is an appointed time for your settlement so wait for it. Today, be rest assured that God has heard your cry! He sees you right where you are, and He is concerned! Do not mistake His perceived silence for His lack of activity. He is at work on your behalf right now, working for your good. That is the God I serve. To enjoy divine settlement in your situation, enter into a covenant to serve God and have God first mentality in all you do. Give your life to Christ now, and He will be involved in your situation. Give God His place, and He will place you in the position He has designed for you. You do not have to fight the battle of life alone. God will get involved in your situation today, and things will turn around for good in Jesus’ Name. Call on Him today. He will get involved and settle you. Stand fast on God’s Word and Promises. Keep your faith to the end. Remember, the Israelites were owed many things for over 430 years but, God stepped in. And within a day, they were settled beyond measure.

O Lord, settle me in this season to fulfil my glorious destiny in Jesus’ Name.
