The People Called By My Name

2 Chronicles 7:14(KJV)
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
God is a loving Father whose uttermost delight is to massively turn the hearts of sinners and backsliders unto Himself. His Word says if we humble ourselves, pray and seek His Face and turn from our wicked ways He will hear us and forgive our sins. Revival comes when instead of blaming God for our errors, we admit our mistakes and wrongdoings, and express a willingness to change. Revival will only come when we persist in the place of prayer, asking God for mercy. Notice something in this Scripture. and it says, “If my people, which are called by my name….” so to complete the process of obtaining revival, those who have been chosen to be God’s people must cease from living a life of sin, turn away from their desires in life to His Word. The people of God have a certain character, those who are associated with God’s Name have a particular way of life. They live a righteous life and always seek the face of God.
Nothing hinders our relationship with God like sin. Sin has been introduced into this world and it’s likely people of God will indulge in it but then it takes humility to realize that that’s not supposed to be your way of life and turn back to God. God never overlook or despises a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17). God is ever willing to grant pardon to a genuinely repentant soul. He is always willing to take us back and restore us to our rightful position if only we will humble ourselves and come back to Him. No matter how numerous and terrible our sins are, we must be willing to confess them. No matter how far we go, there’s a way to come back and it’s expedient that we change our ways before it is too late to do so. Hebrews 9:27 says “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Therefore, choosing to wait until tomorrow may be too dangerous. God wants us to change from being cold or lukewarm. and become committed to doing His Will. Remember, repentance is good, but prevention is certainly better than cure. To avoid sin altogether is better than planning to repent after committing a sin. Run from every appearance of sin and stay safe.
Beloved, don’t get so familiar with God’s Word that you stop doing the essentials of the faith. Seek His face now and always. Using the Bible as a mirror, check to see where you have fallen short of God’s expectations and begin to effect a change. God’s mercy is new every day. He is waiting to give you mercy, grace, favor, and help. Abide in God’s Presence, company with Him and be involved in what He is doing and your life will never remain the same. To enjoy full restoration, confess your sins to the Lord, ask Him for forgiveness and exercise faith in Christ’s substitutionary atonement. I want to encourage you to have faith in the word being sent to you today. You can truly be restored because God promises to restore you if you will repent, and He is waiting to receive you with open arms. Remember, anyone who is ready and willing to make a real investment of time and right choices can see his or her life turn around for the better. May the Holy Spirit be your guide at all times in Jesus’ Name.
O LORD, help me to love, worship and serve You till the end of my life, let me experience Your revival in my life in Jesus’ Name.
